Type Rating (TR) 

Brief description of the course:

 

The course is designed for those who are already experienced on a different type of airliner or have just graduated from a flight school with all the qualifications and ratings needed to become a First Officer. These qualifications and ratings such as Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) and Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) are entry requirements to the course. If you are not a holder of the MCC, it must be attached to your TR course in amount of 10 hrs on a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) you will train your TR on and 25 hours of theory.  Type rating course finishes with a skill test (4 hours) on the FFS plus Base Training (4 or 6 landings / take-offs on a real airplane according to a trainee's experience) or 2 hours of Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) for experienced pilots who are trained for a specific airline that has a contract with the Approved Training Organization (ATO) which has an approval from a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
